- I run Ubuntu skinned to look like a Mac on a PC. Go figure.
- estrong07 →
- I have a mac that runs OS 10.5.x, Ubuntu 9.04, and Windows XP Pro. I also have a PC running all three... have to say, thge mac runs all of them better!

- Doing this survey in a web2.0 sujet maybe is a little "nonrepresentative" to say the least :)
- ipostfirst →
- PC with XP/Ubuntu is just right.
- volve →
- If I could afford the hardware, I'd be using a unibody MacBook Pro with lovely Leopard, but I can't justify the cost, so I just continue to build Windows computers piece-by-piece when I need to upgrade.

- mac!

- Tried switching to Mac but too many issues that Mac fan boys won't acknowledge. OS X too inefficient for GUI power users.
- derrickpeavy →
- Mac. and Mike - i want to see what you are talking about
- darkuncle →
- OS X "inefficient for GUI power users"? #facepalm #noob seriously though: either get a mac, or run Linux or BSD. Windows VM in any case.
- mikeschinkel →
- @derrickpeavy my list of grievances will soon be in the email...
- cscannella →
- mac.
- mikeschinkel →
- @darkuncle I HAVE a Mac. Seriously #fanboy, the biggest #noob is one so blinded by religion they won't accept constructive criticism.
- Ploops →
- "inefficient for GUI power users"? Have to agree. I get things done faster, with less aggravation with Windows.

- A good article on simple vs. easy. In reference to Windows 7 and OS X - http://www.winsupersite.com/win7/win7_simple.asp

- Mac. But, I do have to work on a PC at work. At least it has XP and not Vista.
- →
- Oh I forgot, I do run XP on my Macbook Pro with bootcamp.
- ipostfirst →
- Yep, i'll have to agree with @mikeschinkel on this one.
- chrisrea →
- Mac, of course, but is this even a relevant discussion anymore?
- bigjonroberts →
- PC - I'm to cheap to be a Mac, but I'm finding that now I might have to switch because it's to expensive to be a PC

- I ran magazines for years. Bought PCs for sales and Macs for graphics. Mac networking & customizable software was 5 years behind
- Ustwats →
- I agree, MAC ....for hardware then have VMware run windows... and get best of both worlds, why go for just one... ???
- edyother →
- Primarily Windows, but using Mac a little, and getting annoyed with it, also started running Linux Mint recently and liking it so far.

- Lovely 13" Macbook Pro, running XP under Virtual Box for TextPad and WinSCP, which is STILL the best development setup EVER. Tell you what, though ... the browsing experience under OSX is so much easier on my eyes....
- XopherBailey →
- Mac is the obvious 'cool' answer... but in the end, Apple sold out when they became successful too! itunes was amazing until the ipod became succesfull... now it's terrible bloatware. why apple why?

- Mac since 1984! I can't believe we're still having the Mac/PC debate all these years later. Mac IS more expensive, but it also runs XP/Vista/Win7. Best of all: it just works! All the tinkering time u save, more than makes up for extra $$$
- zaphar →
- Mac for work PC/Linux at home.
