aqualung →: yes it matters, even if it's only a touchstone for other licenses ...
sogrady →: agreed. licensing is for me, very much a different tools for different jobs discussion. there is no one license that will suit all needs.
aqualung →: I think "openness" will always be measured by comparison to the GPL, too
sogrady →: the funny thing is that the GPL is criticized for being not restrictive *enough* with regard to the ASP loophole, but in this piece it's being taken to task for being too restrictive
