- 5 stars Miyazaki goes back to his roots and HC Anderson, elegant, simple, nostalgic beautiful childe-like but never childish.

- 5 stars for Ponyo! Everything is magical: making noodles, ancient underwater creatures, morse code. The world through a child's eyes.

- Looks fascinating-plan 2 see! Enjoyed watching & discussing "Spirited Away" w/ my kids, and look forward to same with Ponyo!

- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely now one of my favorite Miyazaki films. Has something for everyone. My 2yr old loved it.

- No coherent story or point. A discombobulated mess. The result of Disney taking over Ghibli and making a children's movie signed by a big name. Sad, very sad. A master undermined.

- to put a finer point on it: "The result of Disney taking over Ghibli and making an American children's movie" Was only missing product placements and references to other Disney properlties to be complete trash. :p

- 3 - yeah, shawn says boo. But I saw a FanSub version months ago, maybe hollywood voices will change my opinion... nah, a disjointed fish movie. Never as good as Naussica, Porco Rosso or Totoro. Sorry.

- **** Ponyo just reminds you the sense of fairy tale; I do appreciate its multi-layered language for an every-age audience
